Beaches I Love in Kauai Hawaii
Have you ever been to Hawaii? This was my first trip there and I LOVED it! After saving for a trip for a few months I finally got the opportunity to go over there with my family and some relatives. It was a long traveling day, but it was all worth it!
On our way there, we left the cold Minnesota weather and slowly had to peel layers until we got to Kauai, Hawaii. We got there in the evening and it was super warm! It was October and it was too hot outside to wear a jacket. I was in the right place. Walking outside of the airport and feeling the warm weather and seeing the palm trees made me feel like I was in tropical paradise. I could live there! As we drove around I could see the mountains and the ocean right next to it. What a great view.
On Sunday the next morning, we got ready to go to church and decided to go to a beach before going to church. This was the first beach we went to and it was amazing. There were signs up to watch for rip tides, so we had to be careful of those. But since we were in our church clothes, we just walked along the beach.
My daughter was 1 and a half at the time and she loved to play in the sand. I sat her down in it and her hands started to feel the amazing sand. Then she discovered the water that came up and down the beach. The waves would keep coming up and down. Naturally, she wanted to check out the water. I held her hands as we walked up to the water and she got to put her feet in there. The water was nice and warm! She loved to run in and out of the waves that were coming on shore.
As we went walking along the beach there was a little river that went through the sand. It was fresh water that had come down from the mountains. When we got to the river we walked across it to the other side of the beach. On the other side, there were rocks to climb. It was fun to watch the water flow in and out of the rocks.
After we got back to our cars we went to church. The church was held under a big tent, so it was basically outside. It was a neat experience to go to a church service like that. When the service was done, someone had brought some tangerines! Those were fun to eat. They were very juicy and messy, but very good. Another great part about Hawaii was the tropical fruits!
