Does Anyone Want A Fruit Smoothie?

Smoothies are one of my favorite snacks at our home. They are quick to make and are nice and sweet! When I started to cut out refined sugars from my daily eating habits I had to find a good replacement for my nightly ice cream snack. This was it! It took me a while to be able to make a good smoothie that I enjoyed really well, but I finally got there. It takes some trial and error, but keep working at it. You can get there too!
How Do I Start?
When making my smoothie I like to make sure to have fresh bananas that are starting to turn brown. The bananas that have not started to turn brown yet are not as sweet, and the sugars have not broken down yet. When the natural sugars have not broken down it makes the banana harder for our bodies to digest. So the bananas shouldn’t be eaten before they start to turn brown anyway. After they start to turn brown, the sugars break down and are easier for our bodies to digest. So waiting for the bananas to turn brown has health benefits and makes the smoothies that much sweeter!
